How to make crystal

 You will need a bottle that is empty and also cut in half, a metal stick, a metal wire, a bucket, scissors, a feather, a 1/2 measuring cup, borax,  good thoughts to make it work and lastly a wooden spoon.

Step 1 you need to rap the metal wire around the feather and around the metal stick.

Step 2 a small cut on the sides of the bottle.

Step 3 put the metal stick in the cuts.

Step 4 fill the bucket with three cups of hot water.

Step 5 put 2 cups of borax in the bucket.

Step 6 stir the borax and water using the wooden spoon and think about good thoughts.

Step 7 pour it carefully into the bottle. 

Step 8 put in the freezer for 2 hours.

Step 9 pour the water out in your garden.

Step 10 leave it to dry then it will become a crystal

Trip to the Library

On a cloudy windy day,  Angelina, my mum and I went on the bus to the GI Library. We borrowed 3 books each. My books were called The big bad blackout, The Extra Special Group and Borgon the Axeboy. Angelina's books were Leo Da Vinci, Hene, and the burning Harbour and The big Old Smelly Orge. Then we went to the 2 dollar shop to buy 2 water guns for me and Lina, at first, it was hard to choose from all the water guns they had in the store. After that, we went to the Bakery to buy 2 cups of hot chips. After a while, my mum called my older sister to pick us up. When we got home Lina and I straight away had a water fight with our water guns in our backyard. I am grateful that my mum took me and Angelina on the bus trip

Going to Thompson Park

It was a bright and sunny afternoon. My family and I went to Thompson Park and we saw something different. There was a big slide, bars, and a little playground. The first thing I did was eat delicious corn and yummy Otai. Then me my uncle Ma'ake and my two cousins Alexis and Isla went to the park. We started at the bars and tried to do pushups. I could do only 1 on the tall bars and 2 on the short bars. After 5 minutes we played Cheat. This a very difficult but fun game to play. The next thing I did was play with my mum and Alexis on the field playing soccer. It was me and Alexis Vs, my mum. My mum had 3 points and Alexis and I only had 1. After that, my family and I played piggy in the middle. We started with only me, Alexis and Ma'ake but I was the winner because I stayed in. It was kind of hard but I still had fun. I felt joyful because I enjoyed myself.

Jack and the beanstalk

Once upon a time there lived a boy called Jack he lived with his mum. One day Jack's mum told Jack to sell the cow at the market. When he almost got  there he saw a little man he said can I have your cow for an exchange of magic beans? Jack took the beans 

To Santa

Dear Santa do you really have a slay? If you do, can you bring it to pt England school. How meany rain deers do you have? Hello my name is Shayna and I go to pt England and I live in Auckland. Can you come to pt England? Why do people say jolly old santa? We have an advent calendar. I used to think that in December it would be winter. In Auckland it is very hot. It is summer. My favourite thing to do is draw pictures and play sports. Can you please bring me a colouring set for Christmas. How old are you? In my class my teacher is Miss Nalder. She is the best teacher because she makes learning fun from Shayna 

 

The Manaiakalani Movies

Yesterday at night, Miss Nalder picked me, Julius and Toks up from our houses. Then we went to Sylvia Park McDonalds to eat. After that we went to the cinemas and that's where I saw my old school Ruapotaka and I saw some of my friends. After a while Miss Nalder said "Why don't we have a walk around?" Then we played tag. After a minute it was time to go into the theatre. We watched a lot of Manaiakalani movies. Room 24s movie was last. When it was done, my mum and dad said that they were proud of me. My brother and my sister kept on laughing because of how I had been Malala in the movie. I felt proud of myself. 

     

 

The girl who hated books

Once upon a time there was a girl who hated books. Her house was full of books, her parents brought lots of books. One day the characters in the books came to life. The girl didn't know what to do so she said "get back in the stories!" She shouted but it didn't work so she only had one choice but to read the 30 books in one day. That was going to be hard so she started reading. After a long long read she was done with reading her 30 books. But she felt interested in books so she read again. When her parents came they were surprised. The girl said "now I know reading is fun."
